REFRESH FRIDAY

🌿 Refresh Friday:
A Transition
 From Renewal to Gratitude

Scripture: “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.” (Psalm 107:1, NLT)

As we close out October and our “Fall Into His Presence” prayer series, let’s take a moment to reflect on how God has met us in stillness, restored our peace, and renewed our hearts. 🍁

Each Friday has been a gentle reminder to pause, breathe, and invite God into our chaos. He has been present in the quiet moments, the tears, the laughter, and even in the uncertainty. As we shift into November, we’re not leaving this spirit of renewal behind, we’re carrying it forward through gratitude.

Beginning November 1st, we’ll start our “30 Days of Gratitude” series, a month-long journey of faith-based affirmations, scriptures, and prayers designed to help us live in awareness of God’s daily goodness. Let this next chapter deepen your wellness, strengthen your faith, and anchor your joy in Christ.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for refreshing our spirits this month. As we move into a new season of gratitude, open our eyes to see Your goodness all around us. Let our hearts overflow with thanksgiving in every circumstance. Amen. 💛

🕊 Reflection Questions:

  1. What was one area of your life God refreshed in October?

  2. How can you show gratitude for His presence daily in November?

  3. What are you most thankful for today?

MONDAY MENTAL MOTIVATION

🍂 A Sound Mind in Every Season

Scripture:

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”
(2 Timothy 1:7 , NLT)

Devotion:
As we close out October and prepare to step into a new month, take a moment to breathe and reflect on the goodness of God. Each season brings change; new challenges, new lessons, and new growth opportunities. Yet through it all, God promises peace and stability for our minds.
When life feels uncertain or overwhelming, remember that a sound mind is your divine inheritance. You don’t have to fear what is next. God equips you with courage, love, and clarity for every new beginning.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for calming my heart and steadying my thoughts. Help me to release fear and walk in the peace You’ve given me. Strengthen my mind and renew my spirit so I can move forward in confidence and grace.
Amen. 🌿

Reflection Questions:

  1. What areas of your life are calling for a sound mind right now?

  2. How can you show love and self-discipline as you enter the new month?

  3. What fear or worry will you surrender to God today?

REFRESH FRIDAY

🌿 Week 4: Fall into His Presence – Wholeness in Christ

Scripture: “And in Christ you have been brought to fullness.
He is the head over every power and authority.”
 (Colossians 2:10)

Devotion:
We often live in fragments, our hearts pulled in one direction, our minds in another, our emotions scattered by stress, and our spirits weighed down by worry.
But in Christ, we are not meant to live fractured lives. Paul reminds us that through Jesus, we are brought to fullness, complete, whole, and lacking nothing.

Wholeness does not mean perfection. It means being rooted in Christ, aligned with His Spirit, and restored where the world has tried to break us. Jesus fills the empty spaces that relationships, careers, or material things cannot satisfy.

This week, let us “fall” into His presence by surrendering the pieces of ourselves we’ve tried to hold together on our own. In Him, brokenness becomes beauty, emptiness becomes fullness, and weakness becomes strength.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What area of your life feels fragmented or incomplete right now?

  2. How does the truth of Colossians 2:10 shift the way you see yourself in Christ?

  3. What would it look like for you to walk in wholeness this week?

Prayer Prompts:

  • Lord, make me whole in You.

  • Heal the broken pieces of my heart and mind.

  • Help me to see myself as complete in Christ, not lacking anything.

  • Restore balance and alignment in my spirit, emotions, and thoughts.

Closing Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You that in Christ I am complete. Where I feel broken, You bring healing. Where I feel empty, You fill me. Where I feel weak, You strengthen me. Teach me to walk in the wholeness that only comes from being rooted in Jesus. Today, I surrender my fragmented pieces and receive the fullness of life You have promised.
In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🕊️

MONDAY MENTAL MOTIVATION

🍃 Fall Into His Presence
    “Rest for the Weary”

Scripture:  “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28 (NIV)

Your body needs rest. Your mind needs rest. Your spirit needs rest.
This week, allow yourself to breathe and receive God’s invitation to rest.

🕊 Take one thing off your schedule that drains you.
🕊 Replace it with quiet time in prayer or reflection.
🕊 Rest isn’t laziness, it’s obedience!

Prayer: God we come before you with humble hearts as we seek Your Holy presence.
We pray for rest in your presence as we lay down those things that burden us and make us weary.
We desire an intimate experience with You, but sometimes the burdens we carry make us feel unworthy in Your presence. But God, we lay it all down before you as we receive more of you and less of us.
As we take time to reflect upon your Word, we ask You to remove those things that trouble our mind and cause us to worry and be weary.

In the name of Jesus, Amen!

🍂 Week 3 – Strength in Weakness

Scripture: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
(2 Corinthians 12:9)

Devotion:
We often view weakness as failure, but in God’s kingdom, weakness is an opportunity for His strength to shine. When we admit our need, we create space for His power to work through us. Grace is not about what we can do, it’s about what Christ has already done.

Don’t be discouraged by your limitations. Instead, bring them to God and trust Him to fill in the gaps. His strength is greater than your weakness, and His grace will carry you through.

Reflection Questions:

  1. In what areas of your life do you feel the weakest right now?

  2. How have you seen God’s strength show up in your past weaknesses?

  3. What would it look like to fully rely on God’s grace in your current situation?

Prayer Prompts:

  • Lord, I thank You that Your grace is enough for me.

  • In my weakness, reveal Your strength.

  • Teach me to lean on You instead of myself.

  • Help me trust that You are working even when I feel inadequate.

Closing Prayer:
Father, we confess our weakness(es) to You. We rejoice in the truth that Your strength is made perfect in it. Let Your grace surround, uplift, and empower us to move forward in faith.
May our lives be a testimony of Your strength working through us.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

MONDAY MENTAL MOTIVATION

🍂 Fall Into His Presence
“Letting Go of Worry”

Prevalence of Worry:

"According to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), approximately 19.1% of adults in the United States experienced an anxiety disorder in the past year. The prevalence of worry is higher among females (23.4%) compared to males (14.3%). Worry is more common in younger adults, with the highest prevalence among those aged 18-29. Women are more likely to report worry than men, especially in the younger age groups. About 15.6% of adults in the United States experience moderate to severe symptoms of anxiety. Worry is more likely to be severe in individuals with a history of mental health trauma or those experiencing significant life stressors. The prevalence of worry has been increasing in recent years, particularly among young adults. This increase may be related to factors such as increased access to social media, economic uncertainty, and the COVID-19 pandemic.  Common worries include health, finances, relationships, work, and safety. Worries about the future and hypothetical scenarios are also frequent.

Worry can interfere with daily life, sleep, and relationships. It can also increase the risk of developing mental health disorders. such as generalized anxiety disorder or panic disorder.

Note: These statistics are based on data from the National Institute of Mental Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It's important to remember that these are estimates and may vary depending on the study and population surveyed.

Scripture: Matthew 6:34 (NLT)“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”

Anxiety thrives on “what ifs,” but faith lives in “right now.” This week, surrender tomorrow to God. He’s already there. When worry comes, pause and pray, “Lord, help me trust You with my future.”
You don’t have to control every outcome, just stay rooted in His presence today.
Prayer: Lord, please remove worry and anxiety from our minds as we press through this week. Fill us with Your joy and peace that surpasses all. We come against any mental warfare and mental distractions of worry, doubt, and fear.
In Jesus' name, Amen!

REFRESH FRIDAY

🍂 Week 2:
Rest for the Weary

Scripture: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28

Happy Friday! As we continue to "Fall" into God's Presence, take time to find rest in God.
Life can often feel heavy, especially when juggling responsibilities, expectations, and challenges. But Jesus offers us a gift the world cannot give: true rest. This isn’t just physical rest, it’s rest for the soul.
In Him, we can lay down our burdens and find peace that restores us from the inside out.

This weekend, take intentional time to “fall” into God’s presence and experience His rest. Step away from distractions, quiet your heart, and allow His Spirit to refresh and renew you.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What burdens or worries are you carrying that you need to lay at Jesus’ feet?

  2. How can you create space in your daily routine to rest in God’s presence?

  3. When was the last time you truly felt God’s peace? What brought it about?

Prayer Prompts:

  • Lord, I give You the weights I cannot carry.

  • Refresh my soul with Your peace and presence.

  • Teach me to slow down and rest in You daily.

  • Replace my weariness with Your strength.

Closing Prayer:
Father, thank You for the promise of rest in Your Son. I release every heavy burden and come before You with open hands and heart. Fill me with peace that surpasses understanding and renew my spirit for the journey ahead. I declare and decree that distractions will cease as well as any obstacles that present me from finding rest in you!
In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🌸

Monday Mental Motivation

🍁 Fall Into His Presence — “Finding Stillness”

Scripture: Psalm 46:10 (NIV) — “Be still, and know that I am God.”

Do you remember when you were little and the grown folk use to tell to you sit down somewhere and be still!
Or if you were in trouble you had to sit and be quite and not talk.
Stillness is a form of rest, defined as "the absence of movement or sound". The wise elders of our time knew something about sitting still and letting God speak...

As we step into a new week, take time to pause. In a world that glorifies hustle, God invites us to stillness. Quiet moments allow Him to calm your anxious thoughts and renew your strength.
 Take a few deep breaths.
Whisper a prayer: “God, help me find peace in Your presence.”
This week, instead of rushing through your to-do list, slow down and fall into His stillness.

Prayer: God, we come into Your Presence
with a stillness and reverence of  Your peace in our lives.
We acknowledge You and Honor You as You fill us with Your glory.
Lord we thank you for the still moments that we can give back to You by just simply sitting in Your presence, giving back to You the time You so graciously lend to us. Cover our minds in this season as we are reminded to "BE STILL and KNOW that YOU ARE GOD!
In Jesus name, AMEN!

REFRESH FRIDAY

October (the 10th month) reminds us that:

  • God calls us to walk in completeness with Him.

  • He invites us to live out our responsibility as women of faith.

  • Even when tested, His grace brings us into wholeness and renewal.

Over the next four weeks, join me each Friday as we "Fall" Into God's Presence and refresh our relationship with Him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

🍂 Week 1 – A Fresh Start in God

Scripture: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Devotion:
The start of a new month and season is a reminder that God is always doing something new. Just as the leaves change in the fall, God desires to bring change and renewal in our hearts. In Christ, we are not bound by past mistakes, failures, or regrets. We are made new, washed clean, restored, and given a fresh start.

When life feels heavy or overwhelming, we can “fall” into His presence and receive His renewal. God doesn’t just patch up the old; He creates something brand new. This week, embrace His invitation to release what was and step into the fresh work He is doing in your life.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What “old” things in your life do you need to let go of so you can fully embrace God’s renewal?

  2. How does being a “new creation” in Christ encourage you as you enter this new season?

  3. Where do you sense God inviting you to start fresh right now?

Prayer Prompts:

  • Lord, thank You for making me new in Christ.

  • Help me release past hurts, failures, and regrets.

  • Renew my spirit so I can walk boldly in Your will.

  • Let this season be one of spiritual growth and fresh beginnings.

Closing Prayer:
Father, thank You for the gift of a fresh start in You. I release the weight of the past and step into the newness of life You offer. Help me to trust Your process of renewal and to walk daily as a new creation in Christ. May this season be a time of transformation and growth in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Wednesday Words for Women

It’s Still God’s Will

It is so easy to say and believe the Word of God in a situation when the end result is what we THINK should be in our favor.  “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose, (Roman 8:28), It’s a lot easier to see the light after a struggle when there is a reward: a promotion, better health, more money, a mate, some type of tangible asset. So what happens when life does not produce outcomes that we perceive as favorable?

Tests of our faith often follow-up with these questions. As humans we tend to turn to each other for comfort and answers, but as true believers we tend to forget the answer of all answers, the Word of God!  Please, pleeeease do not take this observation as an act of self-righteousness because I struggle with reading the Bible just like the next, and no I do not read it every day! Personally an exegesis of Genesis to Revelation is not where I am in my walk, but I do know that if you ask God for scripture relating to your situation as well as pray for clarity, he will give it to you.

We know God’s time is not our time and that everything happens in its own, appropriate season (Ecclesiastes 3), As we revisit the definition of encourage, to give support, confidence or hope; to inspire with courage, strength, or purpose), we as women should be encouraged today to live our best lives, do good deeds for one another, and to comfort each other when life happens.

I challenge each woman who reads this to encourage someone this week. Send a hello text to someone you haven’t talked to in a while. Call someone you know maybe going through and talk about anything just to get their mind away from the here and now. Go visit a senior that might not have much family round. Reach out to a student and encourage them in their studies. This is still God’s time and it is not our job to try to change that but to help one another get through these times, especially the not so good ones.

Prayer:
God, help us as women to encourage one another, especially when our timing doesn’t look like Yours.
Help us to understand that you make no mistakes.
We pray for wisdom, guidance, and understanding as you continue to fulfill Your promises.
Amen,
